How can you lite something on fire without using gas or oil?

We need something that will lite something on fire but isnt gas or oil. Since we are doing it inside we don't want to burn the place down! Thanks all help is appreciated.How can you lite something on fire without using gas or oil?
Anytime you introduce a heat source inside, the risk of fire is always present. That being said:





Electricity (think electric stoves or causing sparks to catch it on fire)


Concentrated Light (magnifying glass)


Using friction (2 sticks rubbed together)


Wood Matches





There are a ton of ways, but I would start with the above 4 before getting too out there with possibilities. How can you lite something on fire without using gas or oil?
Try kitchen stick matches--the tips are phosphorus and sulfur. Then add paper, sticks, and Voila--you're a certified Cave Person. You can also do this by rubbing wood together, but check a survival manual. Now for Ze Chemical Secret--pure potassium ignites in contact with water. Ho Ho Ho. Merry Xmas; you just got a present. Ah yeeessss, amaze and befuddle your friends. Make the Chem Honchos look like they've been asleep.
