Who set the oil on fire during the first gulf war?

Saddam Hussein's troops set the Kuwaiti oil wells on fire. Some Arabic propagandists claim the American troops did it, so they force the Kuwaiti government to sign contract with American companies to put out the fire %26amp; make money. But there are at least 3 evidences that refute this claim:

1- The Iraqi POWs had confessed that they did it

2- Many official letters signed by Iraqi leaders show the order of destroying the oil wells

3- Some diary of Iraqi solders were found in the trenches after the Liberation of Kuwait, %26amp; they mention what weapons were used to destroy the oil wells in KuwaitWho set the oil on fire during the first gulf war?
I think the afghans did!!! So we wouldn't destroy the wells??? IDK though! I saw this on the History Channel (back when we had that station. too bad it no longer exists)Who set the oil on fire during the first gulf war?
