What is the name of the chemical found in Fire extingishers that is effection on oil fires?

KHCO3 (Potassium Bicarbonate). It's the main component of 'Purple-K' used in fire extinguishers for class B and C fires.What is the name of the chemical found in Fire extingishers that is effection on oil fires?
The navy uses foam, another is halon, dry chemical (baking soda)

Either Purple K or liquid nitrogen. Only if the copious amounts of water used initially are ineffective. Dynamite can also be effective in smothering the fire with debris.
