Can I install an upright airflow ';A'; coil on top of a gas or oil fired furnace?

Don't forget to consider CFM for the A/C. Not enough and your evaporator will freeze condensate resulting in no cooling. Be sure your existing furnace blower will fill the bill. Can I install an upright airflow ';A'; coil on top of a gas or oil fired furnace?
You can if there is enough space in the air plenum for the ';A'; coil you want to use.Can I install an upright airflow ';A'; coil on top of a gas or oil fired furnace?
You can if there's enough room.

You'll probably going to have to get a tin shop to fabricate something up for you, but it's doable.

Good luck!!
get a cased coil. then you ll probably have straight plenum pieces if they were b4 the coil
Yes, but you will need to match the blower horsepower, or tonnage to the coil and condensing unit tonnage.
