If you need an example, look at Watts in the Los Angeles area, they chased all the non-black business out by burning them out and then wondered why nobody rebuilt or came back with lower prices for their business. Its just not wise to seek to attract wealth by destroying what was freely given to you. Oh, and global warming cannot be stopped or speeded up by any action mankind takes.

There's a sci-fi novel where the Brazilians become very wealthy in the near future. In the scenario, they receive money from other countries to NOT torch the forest, because planetary survival is at stake. Because the ecosystem becomes so screwed, their Amazon forest becomes an asset. To wit: if you pay us $20 billion a year, we wont torch it. I thought the whole scenario to be quite humorous within the setting of the novel.





The TRUTH about Global Warming, however, is not a fairy tale or funny in the slightest.
