I was just curious as to what everyone keeps their oil fired, forced air heat set on during the winter. It gets as low as 5 degrees F here at night, and as warm as 35-40ish during most days. What do you keep your oil fired, forced air heat set on?
65-68 and wear a couple of layersWhat do you keep your oil fired, forced air heat set on?
Winter: 56 at night and 64 when I am home.
Summer: 82 at night to sleep, off (whatever the temp is) during the day, and 76 when I am home and need (want) AC.
we like to keep our temp in the house at 70/72 that's where we feel comfortable in the summer so it works for use in the winter.we also installed a programmable thermostat.and we have it set to go on at6:00am at 72 and it go,s off at 11:pm to 65. we both work and were in bed by 11/11:30 and up at6:30 am.and most of the time we hear the furnace kick on and don't need the alarm blaring at use.and when we hear the coffee pot start we no it,s time to roll out.yup it,s on a auto set also it go,s on at 6:15.god bless modern technology
