What will make a jeep caught fire after change the oil?

i have the dealer check it and they say mybe the heat sheld may be the the problem i have call chrysler jeep but ,no body talk to me. the jeep is 1999 is under recall i need helpWhat will make a jeep caught fire after change the oil?
It could have been that they left the cap off and the oil leaked on the engine or manifold, causing the fire.

If this happened right after the oil change, I would be very suspicious that they messed something up. I would have an independent mechanic give you an opinion on what he thought caused the fire.

You may have a case against the dealer for repair costs. What will make a jeep caught fire after change the oil?
oil does not catch on fire!!! (only to prove above wrong) try it! thats why they use ity to lubricate the firing chambers. If it caught fully on fire you just have a major problem. But if it was just smoking they could have spilled oil on the engine or exhaust. they could have also not but someting back or tight enouf or at all for that mattter. I would take it right back to them if it was right after you got it done.
